Ilocos Sur Festival 2024

 

Kannawidan Ylocos was first launched within the term of Deogracias Victor Savellano in 2008. It was started to promote awareness and preservation of the local culture, tradition, heritage, and customs. However in 2024 the Kannawinad festival was changed by Ilocos Sur Festival. The Ilocos Sur Festival holds great significance as it honors the abundant cultural legacy of us Ilocano people, exhibiting our customs, music, dances, food, and handicrafts. It strengthens ties to the community and helps us, as Ilocanos, feel proud of our identity and roots.

The Ilocos Sur Festival is a cultural celebration of the Ilocano people's rich heritage, traditions, and identity. It showcases their customs, arts, cuisine, music, and dances, fostering pride and unity. The festival also promotes tourism and economic development, attracting visitors from around the world to experience the unique traditions and hospitality of the Ilocano people. For me as an Ilocano I really love it right now because it is more better, their food court were so many and now it was also separated place. Despite that I enjoyed being with that place and eating those delicious food, I also enjoyed their concerts because many artists came and a lot if people had fun with it especially me.
